Raised toilet: Makes it easier for people with restricted movement to get up from the seat
Thermostatic valves: Ensures a safe water temperature for people who may not be able to feel if the water is too hot
Grab rails: There are usually five grab rails and one drop-down lever arm grab rail
Alarm cord: A safety feature that allows people to call for help if they fall or can’t open the door
Strengthened mirror: Reduces the risk of people getting cut by broken glass

A Doc M washroom, also known as a Doc M room, is a self-contained unisex toilet room that is designed to be accessible for people with disabilities. The term “Doc M” refers to Document M, which are the UK Building Regulations that outline the provisions for accessible washrooms.
